Technical Systems Administrator

Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

The Technical Systems Administrator is responsible to provide systems engineering and administrative support across a wide array of software and hardware systems and components used to deliver production services. The incumbent provides technical leadership and direction for the automation and improvement of overall operations. Identifies areas for improvement, prepares project plans and assists the Sr. Technical Systems Administrator to manage all phases of project implementations. Coordinates all project activity with other IS pyramids, vendors and the client community. Responsible to provide resolution, leadership and training on escalated issues from help desk and field service operations ensuring on-going support services in a 24x7 operational environment. The incumbent receives supervision and general guidance from the Manager of IT Technology Service Center. The Systems Administrator is expected to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, systems engineering, or in a related field is preferred.

Experience:

One year of experience in information technology is preferred.

One year of experience in clinical/ financial systems administration is preferred.

Experience in the healthcare field is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

None.

Other Qualifications

• Experience with various clinical and financial systems and applications.• Ability to execute assignments with minimum oversight.• Ability to solve problems under time pressure with frequent interruptions
