BAE Systems Senior Policy Analyst in Arlington, Virginia

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to work at our Government customer site on an OSINT contract. This Senior Policy Analyst shall provide policy analysis, writing and editing support required to assist the customer with its goal of implementing OSINT to enterprise scale. This individual shall provide policy analysis and written products/recommendations for General Officer/SES level audiences on OSINT strategy, policy and doctrine. The Senior Policy Analyst shall edit and coordinate the final drafting of documents as required by the customer. This individual will also support our Government customer with the following:

  • Conducting research, analysis, and coordination of strategy, policy, and doctrine at the IC, DoD, Service, and Command levels.

  • Analyzing, assessing, and developing future strategy and guidance governing Army OSINT operations as well as intelligence support to operations in the information environment, information advantage/information operations.

  • Capturing IC, DoD, Joint, and interagency policy formulations on OSINT issues while supporting information operations, foreign partner agreements, and ensuring authorities, concerns, and DA G2 equities are accurately represented.

  • Conduct research to support strategic and conceptual guidance to IC leaders.

  • Construct clearly composed documents gathered through research, interviews, studies and contact with Service, Department, and other government officials.

  • Serve as writer-editor responsible for providing high level consultation to professionals and senior management on communicating politically sensitive or controversial materials or policies, as well as how to best articulate DA G2 programs and initiatives.

  • Provide a full range of editorial support.

  • Participate in conceptualizing and developing materials such as reports, testimony, proposed legislation, etc., to Congress, ODNI, USD-I and other audiences.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor s and Master's degrees specifically in English, History, Communications, Political Science, Social Sciences, or other related field of study

  • 10 years of overall relevant experience with 5 years specific experience writing policy for the Defense and/or IC community

  • Experience advising and assisting authors during the writing stage

  • Experience conceptualizing and developing materials such as reports, testimony, proposed legislation, etc., to Congress and other audiences.

  • Familiarity with information operations/information advantage and the full spectrum of information related capabilities/information advantage activities with special focus on military deception, public affairs, and military information support operations/psychological operations.

  • Experience performing a full range of editing assignments for technical and scientific research programs; and evaluating and adapting publishing procedures to changing technology.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Advanced degrees in relevant field

  • Previous Army Policy writing experience
