SPTC designs and builds the software systems, risk models, compliance solution and operational processes across Amazon Marketplaces with over 2 million sellers worldwide selling hundreds of millions of items. SPTC Account Compliance is looking for a Program Manager to drive its strategic vision and roadmap to effectively scale its transaction monitoring detection, investigation and risk mining capabilities. We are looking for a strong Program Manager to drive key suspicious activity monitoring initiatives across various products and services and multiple geographies. You can influence without authority and skilled at communications across levels and functions. You are always looking to improve processes and are reflective on improving your own processes. The right candidate will possess a solid understanding AML and transaction monitoring (TM ) combined with a strong business and project management background. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done, and provide recommendations to speed key decisions. The candidate should also have a track record of timely delivery of large-scale projects, and have the ability to operate independently.

In this role, you will work closely with the legal, business, product, operations, science and engineering teams on effective risk mitigation countermeasures to ensure continued safety and compliance for Amazon. This role will leverage their knowledge of regulations, their insight into industry standards, and their experience in TM coverage assessments, typology assessments and risk mitigation to create and influence policies and strategies.

Key job responsibilities

You will leverage your deep AML experience to drive large-scale efforts to ensure adherence with regulations. You will translate high level requirements into straight-forward solutions, often inventing new ones. We are looking for a critical thinker who is also technically adept and thrives on solving challenges in partnership with teams across Amazon. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that’s higher than many programs and display high levels of bias for action, earning trust, and ownership.

This position will be responsible for the following activities:

· Lead Suspicious Activity Monitoring Risk Mitigation team by developing transaction monitoring strategies based on applicable business and compliance objectives and risks.

· Suspicious Activity Monitoring controls development and performance.

· Drive strategic projects across business and technical teams and effectively report to senior Compliance leadership on progress.

· Assess and communicate risk posture to the senior management, Compliance Officers, legal, and business stakeholders.

· Work with product, engineering, and analytics teams on development of new solutions to enable compliance at scale.

A day in the life

The SPTC Account Compliance AML SAM Program team defines, builds, and continuously evaluates controls across the Compliance systems and processes. We perform risk analysis, coverage assessment, typology assessments, identify control needs, and drive control build out, remediation, and improvements. We work most closely with our Technology, Science and Risk Mining teams to build automated solutions that can easily scale to new products and geographies to identify new bad actor activity.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience

• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

• Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

- - 5+ years of defining and executing against risk mitigation timelines timeline & requirements experience

- - Working cross-functionally with various technical stakeholders - Engineers, Business Analyst, Data Science teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
