We are looking for an experienced program management professional to help maintain a high-bar and scale our organization.

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, and understand the importance of operationalizing key mechanisms and management reporting. You will be a key interface and partner across all levels of the global IA team. You will coach and mentor audit team members, identify training needs, increase awareness of the business and risks, and stay current with professional practice changes and internal auditing best practices. You will earn the trust of the global audit team and lead through influence. You will exhibit a bias for action and a passion for operational excellence, driving continuous improvement to our processes and standards while you invent and simplify and will insist on the highest standards.

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced program management professional to help maintain a high-bar and scale our organization. Prior program management experience in audit, risk, or compliance is highly desirable in leading various program initiatives within these functions.

About the team

Strategic Initiatives Team within Internal Audit (IA) is responsible for driving process improvements and initiatives across IA. Strategic Initiative's mission is very simple: We are going to define and execute a roadmap to align IA from a process and technology standpoint to improve auditing and reporting (accuracy, consistency, velocity), while making the audit teams’ jobs easier (capacity).

Strategic Initiatives is focused on three core areas: Professional Practices (which includes defining audit procedures, methodology, training & professional development, quality assurance, etc.), Operational Optimization (including process and continuous improvement), and Product Management (audit tools, systems and mechanisms).

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

• Experience handling confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience

• Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials

• Experience with SQL and Excel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
