Key job responsibilities

  • Strategic Vision and Leadership: Define and drive the long-term vision and strategy. Influence and align with senior leadership to ensure cohesive and scalable product direction.

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Own the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch. Prioritize product features, build detailed product roadmaps, and manage execution.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, UX, finance, operations, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, develop product specifications, and ensure successful product delivery.

  • Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical expertise and leadership in anomaly detection. Guide and mentor teams, ensuring alignment with product goals and technical feasibility.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data and analytics to drive product decisions and measure success. Develop metrics to assess product performance and identify areas for continuous improvement.

  • Customer Advocacy: Champion the voice of the customer throughout the product development process. Conduct user research, gather feedback, and ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations.

  • Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in enterprise financial fraud intelligence. Drive innovation by identifying and implementing cutting-edge solutions to enhance financial processes.

You are a technically-minded product leader with a passion for using data and analytics to solve complex business problems. You excel at bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, using your strong communication skills to distill insights, prioritize product roadmap initiatives, and champion transformative solutions. Your analytical mindset allows you to quickly identify patterns and trends in financial anomalies, while your creative problem-solving abilities enable you to devise novel approaches to combat emerging threats. You are adept at navigating ambiguity, balancing multiple priorities, and rallying cross-functional collaboration - key attributes that will be critical to the successful delivery and adoption of the enterprise fraud and waste intelligence product suite. Most importantly, you are driven by a sense of purpose, committed to leveraging leading-edge technology to protect Amazon and its customers from the damaging effects of misappropriation of resources.

About the team

At Finance Automation (FinAuto), we build, operate, and scale systems that are responsible for hundreds of billions of dollars in transactions, and are central to the success of Amazon and its partners. In addition to transactional services, our teams build the custom systems and workflow tools used internally by associates to do business efficiently. We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal Product Manager-Tech leader to drive innovation in financial integrity as you lead the charge against evolving threats. You will shape the future of fraud and waste prevention technology while making a tangible impact on organizational security and efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience technical product management

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

  • Experience defining multi-year strategies and executing on associated roadmap, including leading engineering discussions around technology decisions
