ACT I is currently seeking a Saudi Arabia Fighter Aircraft Support SME. This position will have primary responsibility to provide advisory and assistance support to the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs (SAF/IA), Saudi Arabia Branch to support the sale of F-15SA aircraft and other aviation systems to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This position will work closely with the SAF/IAR Saudi Arabia Branch Chief. The position requires Secret Security Clearance.
Analyze existing US military and Saudi defense and capability requirements, identify/assess alternative sustainment and enhancement strategies, provide recommendations, and assist in defining requirements for future programs.
Provide expertise in the logistics management of Royal Saudi Air Force procured systems, supporting infrastructure and facilities.
Provide expertise in munitions capabilities and employment associated with the Partner Nation’s weapons systems.
Provide recommendations to Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), SAF/IAR regarding Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF), (SAF)/Saudi Ministry of Defense design interface, product support management, maintenance planning, technical data, training and training devices, supply support, support and test equipment, munitions management, packaging/handling/storage and transportation, computer resources, and manpower and personnel support elements as outlined in the DoD Integrated Product Support (IPS) Element handbook.
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience with demonstrated effectiveness and success in the following mission areas:
USAF Letter of Acceptance (LOA) development, execution and/or portfolio management and/or experience as SAF/IA Country Desk Officer working on USAF programs.
Familiarity with F-15 or other USAF fighter operations or maintenance or fighter aircraft support requirements.
Familiarity with USAF F-15 or other USAF fighter and weapons operations, exercises, and training, to include Red Flag training scheduling insight.
Knowledge and general understanding of USAF roles and missions
Knowledge and general understanding of security cooperation, international affairs, security assistance, foreign military sales to include the processes, legislation, and players.
Knowledge and understanding of SAF/IA’s role in US Government and International security cooperation community.
Demonstrated experience implementing DoD acquisition policies, laws, regulations, and guidance required to implement FMS LOA’s.
A thorough understanding of:
DODI 1315.20, Military Department Foreign Area Officer Programs.
CJCSI 3126.01, Language and Regional Expertise Planning
AFPD 16-1, International Affairs
AFI 16-109, International Affairs Specialist Program; and
USAF Global Partnership Strategy
U.S. Export Control laws, regulations and procedures
- Master’s Degree (emphasis in an International Affairs curriculum desired)
