Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-level administrative support to the Office of Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity Policy (OCREOP) by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.
Use Microsoft Office software, prepares forms, letters, memos, reports, proposals, and other necessary documents, sometimes complex or confidential in nature. Proofreads all documents for typographical errors and grammatical accuracy.
Compose responses to general inquiries and correspondence that do not require supervisor's direct attention.
Attend meetings, takes minutes, provides a summary or report of related information, notes commitments made by manager during meetings and arranges for staff implementation.
Conduct research and analysis on a variety of predetermined problems; prepares summary of results of review.
Provide administrative and operational support including correspondence management, task tracking, report and presentation preparations, and package creation.
Ensure the requests for action or information are relayed to the appropriate team member, interpret request and helps implement action, ensure that information is furnished in a timely manner.
Assist with management, distribution, and tracking of all officer correspondence using internal standard operating procedures and the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS).
Support the government business operations team with front office management tasks such as visits, security, read-aheads, office supplies, and schedule management.
Provide support to agency personnel to support the continuity of operations.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma plus an Associates degree in business, plus 5 or more years of experience required, but a Bachelor's Degree in business administration or similar field is preferred.
Familiarity with federal regulations and executive orders related to equal employment opportunity, such as Executive Order 11246.
