ICF Action Officer (Clearance Required) in Arlington, Virginia

Action Officer

ICF seeks a highly motivated and proactive Action Officer to support a federal national security client. This role is a critical position on a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team. The Action Officer will be responsible for tracking and actioning critical project efforts and assignments, driving innovative process improvements and efficiencies, and seamlessly liaising with a variety of senior clients to ensure tightly coordinated and high-quality reporting.

The position is a hybrid role and on-site work will be conducted in Arlington, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead coordination and tracking of enterprise-wide projects, tasks, and workstreams

  • Drive value into business processes by identifying improvements, automations, and innovations that reduce burden on our client and produce improved outcomes

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and thorough completion of tasks

  • Support development of reports, data analytics, project documents, and other program materials as needed

  • Act as point of contact for the client and provide prompt, substantive and comprehensive responses to all client needs and requests

  • Provide feedback about challenges and successes and troubleshoot any barriers encountered within the assigned tasks

  • Contribute to special projects and other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

  • U.S. Citizenship (required by federal government for position)

  • Active SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, for example public or business administration or communications, or 4 years equivalent experience

  • Experience supporting a federal client in a program support capacity

Successful candidates will have:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (SharePoint, Lists, PowerBI, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Excel)

  • Customer service orientation with interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities

  • Ability to work well both individually and in a team environment

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while demonstrating the initiative to complete projects with minimum supervision

  • Ability to work cohesively with all levels of internal staff, as well as clients, their customer, and internal ICF counterparts

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$79,154.00 - $134,561.00
