(Fully Remote, must live in DFW or Texas)

Work hours: Full-time, Day shift; 40 hours, Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm,

Here’s What You Need

Education

· H.S. Diploma or Equivalent (Required) And,

· Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Finance or 4 years relevant experience in lieu of degree (Required)

​​​​​​Experience

  • 4 Years Healthcare finance, revenue cycle management, practice operations management or decision support/database management is required. Familiarity with analyzing Medicare fiscal intermediary bulletins, CMS memorandums and have the ability to understand payer reimbursement methodologies (Commercial and Government). --- with Degree (Required) Or,

  • 8 Years Healthcare finance, revenue cycle management, practice operations management or decision support/database management is required. Familiarity with analyzing Medicare fiscal intermediary bulletins, CMS memorandums and have the ability to understand payer reimbursement methodologies (Commercial and Government). --- without Degree (Required)

Certification

· CPC - Certified Professional Coder (Required)

  • Familiarity with analyzing Medicare fiscal intermediary bulletins, CMS memorandums and have the ability to understand payer reimbursement methodologies (Commercial and Government). Impressive organizational skills; ability to effectively communicate analysis of trends to various levels of stakeholders; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; critical thinking skills; proficient in deciphering information contained in an electronic health records such as EPIC are required. Familiarity with ICD 10; CMS claims data; and interpretation of contracts preferred.

What You Will Do

Under general direction of the Revenue Cycle Manager Charge Capture the Senior Analyst Charge Capture serves in a role tasked with improving revenue results by taking a global view of clinical and financial processes, functions, and interdependencies from the provision of patient care to final bill generation. All responsibilities are performed in accordance with established organizational policies, procedures and compliance and quality standards.

  • Responsible for functions related to the build and maintenance of the Charge Description Master (CDM).

  • Assures accurate and timely implementation of CDM additions, deletions, and changes to minimize billing issues.

  • Identifies and analyzes departmental requests for changes to CDM.

  • Review/identify/analyze necessary CPT/HCPCS code changes related to annual and quarterly updates from regulatory agencies.

Annual Audit Plan and Process Improvement:

  • Promotes, develops and maintains effective communication, interaction, and excellent relationship with internal customers, including ensuring their requirements are identified and consistently met.

  • Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of corrective action plans and provides comprehensive follow-up to Senior Management and others as needed or required.

  • Compiles accurate and timely formal written reports on oversight and monitoring activity findings; ensures that audit documents are properly prepared to support oversight and monitoring activity findings and adheres to state and federal regulations, third party payer regulations as well as internal policies and procedures and internal controls.

  • Applies a comprehensive knowledge of current and evolving best practices and industry trends.

Meetings and Education:

  • Mandatory attendance to webinars, classes, lectures, internal meetings, etc. to maintain current knowledge regarding CMS reimbursement, commercial payer contracts, THR charging policies and changes that impact revenue, such as CPT and coding changes.

  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein reviewing entity emergency departments E/M calculators having access to full ED nurse audit functionality.
