• Oversee various aspects of manufacturing from engagement of vendors, onboarding, delivery of tech pack, and program set-up for production, including LRIP through to mass scale production
• Coordinate with design and innovation teams to optimize designs for manufacturability
• Engage directly with vendors to ensure accurate delivery of parts that fulfill company and customer criteria, including implementation of lot traceability and other quality measures
• Work with vendors to identify ongoing methods to improve quality and efficiencies
• Manage metrics to measure vendor performance and effectiveness scorecard, providing vendors with frequent actionable feedback, and keeping vendors to account on required improvements
• Interface with cross-functional team, plan project execution, allocate resources, and ensure project goals are met
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, and success criteria
• Maintain innovation where possible by implementing new technologies, materials and methodologies to improve product production, design and enhance product capabilities and performance
• Perform advanced engineering analyses, develop and validate complex models, and provide technical expertise for production both for internal and external teams
• Ensure designs meet high standards of quality, reliability, and compliance with industry regulations
• Manage project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize production processes
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, RandD, and sales, to ensure seamless product development and delivery
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, presenting technical information and progress updates
• Act as point of contact for vendors
• Stay informed about relevant industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements, ensuring products meet all necessary criteria
