Job Summary
The Department of Psychology in the College of Science, at the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for an Assistant Professor tenure-track position. We are seeking candidates with expertise in behavioral and brain science and/or health psychology, who will complement our departmental initiatives and existing strengths in the areas of health and/or neuroscience. We have a specific interest in a community-engaged, applied focus that aims to translate scientific findings into the design of positive environments, workplaces and communities that support the health and well-being of individuals who belong to underrepresented, at-risk, and/or stigmatized identities.
In accordance with USCIS regulations, successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be committed to excellence in research, teaching, and service, and will be expected to supervise graduate and/or undergraduate student research and teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
Required Qualifications
Minimum requirements for this position include: (1) a Ph.D. or equivalent in Psychology, or closely related discipline; (2) strong publication record or strong publication potential; (3) evidence of existing funding or potential to develop a strong research program with external funding; and (4) commitment to quality teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

The Department of Psychology, which is housed within the College of Science, offers both a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology.
