Ridgeview Medical Center Environmental Services Tech in Arlington, Minnesota

Purpose of Job This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, healthy and welcoming environment in patient and non-patient areas to ensure that Ridgeview customers and families receive the highest quality of services in a caring and compassionate manner. Job Functions Cleans all patient and non patient areas to high standards cleanliness. Follows all infection control policies and standards to minimize the transmission of microorganisms. Follows proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protection equipment for the safety of patients, Environmental Services Tech and staff. Vacuums, shampoos and extracts carpets Performs major cleaning and refinishing of floors in assigned areas. Distributes clean linen and maintains PAR levels. Washes and dries specialty linen items in house. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education/Work Experience No HS diploma required but preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions Ability to work autonomously and as a team Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Ability to perform strenuous work under time constraints Ability to pay close attention to detail Basic computer skills Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in the English language and respond accordingly in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Preferred Qualifications Previous cleaning experience (healthcare, hospitality, commercial, etc.) Ridgeview Medical Center will not discriminate against or harass any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, citizenship, national origin, age, disability, military service, veteran status, genetic information, union membership, creed, marital status, familial status, sexual orientation, gender identity, status with regards to public assistance, membership in a local human rights commission, or any other category that may be protected by law.
