Eaton Corporation Junior Application Engineer in Arden, North Carolina

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Junior Application Engineer. This position is onsite at our Arden NC Eaton location (Asheville NC area).

The Junior Application Engineer is supporting and gaining knowledge and skills from Applications Engineer in our LVA department.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

In this role:

  • Provides support and developement for LVA COE training program

  • Provides witness test and automation support as required

  • Develops and reviews technical standards, drawings, and documentation. Interfaces with Bidmanager & Design Automation teams

  • Communicates new technical information and provides training to COEs and supervisors

  • Supports other LVA manufacturing locations, providing technical support and training as required

  • Provides post order technical and application assistance to end users

  • Supports and advises the warranty department by investigating and solving complex field warranty issues

  • Supports LVA product line with manufacturing issue, material shortages, and component substitutions

  • Maintains and develops White Papers and Application Papers for LVA department library

  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring in support of the LVA COE team and works cohesively with pre/post support application team

Qualifications:

Basic REQUIRED Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or related field from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in electrical engineering

  • Minimum of 3 years engineering experience in LVA

  • No relocation is available for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Arden, NC facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 5+ years of LVA Electrical Switch Gear

Skills:

  • Experience with low voltage switchgear & control systems

  • Must be able to work with diverse internal/external customers within a cross functional work environment.

  • Experience with low voltage switchgear & control systems

  • Must be able to work with diverse internal/external customers within a cross functional work environment. Must also be able to train and develop new engineers to the product line

  • Advanced knowledge of LVA Switchgear

  • Must stay up to date on codes and standards that are applicable to the LV Switchgear product line

  • Working knowledge of all systems used by a COE

  • Working knowledge of power distribution and controls, industrial controls, commercial products.
