About the role: Are you passionate about healthcare economics, reimbursement, and delivering value in the medical device industry? Boston Scientific is looking for a Manager of Clinical and Economic Evidence Strategy to join our Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA) team. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with healthcare providers, executives, clinical, medical affairs, scientific affairs and marketing teams to communicate the economic value of Boston Scientific's cutting-edge products across our CRMDx and AF Solutions divisions. The goal of this important position is to build an integrated global market access evidence strategy for AF Solutions and CRMDx that incorporates clinical and economic evidence strategies and dissemination plans. Your role will involve defining the global value claims needed for HEMA to enable global market access for key products in key markets and working cross-functionally to ensure that HEMA economic evidence needs are incorporated into clinical trials. You will also be responsible for working with the Health Economics and Outcomes Research team to develop data analytics and research projects, ensuring that the economic value of Boston Scientific's technologies is appropriately and effectively conveyed to key stakeholders including payers and providers. Work Mode This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include: Define the global value claims needed for HEMA to enable global market access for key products in key markets Leveraging the EGS Needs/Claims Template and HEMA PLCP Tool output, develop a clear HEMA value matrix consistent across franchises per stakeholder that addresses global market access opportunities while aligning cross-functional groups and integrating regional HEMA needs into evidence planning Build a road map for clinical and economic evidence to support market access needs (coding, coverage and payment) and value statements targeting various stakeholders (physician, administrator, patient) Work with the Health Economist to develop data analytics and research projects based on clinical evidence plan and required value messaging Understand the policy landscape and integrate funding needs for HEMA activities into AOP and Strat Plan Track and have a centralized source for the clinical evidence pipeline and map to the global HEMA value propositions Lead the development of tools / documentation to effectively globally disseminate findings from HEMA / HEOR publications Accurately and effectively convey key findings and messages from available evidence to relevant healthcare stakeholders through collaboration with cross-functional and/or cross-regional teams Engage in training sessions for sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, and legal teams to increase awareness and understanding of health economics research and evidence communication Represent global HEMA in ISR committee, clinical summits and other evidence generation-related settings and communicate findings / evidence needs and concepts to both internal and regional HEMA teams as well as communicating HEMA evidence needs to relevant stakeholders in these meetings Required qualifications: Advanced degree (Ph.D., Pharm.D., or equivalent) or Master's degree (M.S., M.P.H., or equivalent) in health policy, health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, healthcare administration, health ervices research, or a similar discipline Strong background in real-world evidence (RWE), health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), and global reimbursement landscape within the medical device industry 5+ years of work experience in medical industry, including medical device, pharmaceutical, consulting or biotechnology companies or with government agencies, such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) or Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Strategic business mindset including an understanding of how data and evidence are used to maintain and expand market access and the ability to communicate the impact to business leadership Experience working with global cross-functional teams to define value messages for global market access Understanding of global and US healthcare reimbursement, policy, advocacy, and market access Solid understanding of clinical trial and Real-World Evidence (RWE) research designs, including how to incorporate HEMA-related components into research protocols to develop value messaging that is important and effective at communicating to global market access and reimbursement stakeholders Proficiency in acquiring, cleaning, organizing, synthesizing, and communicating data, including proficiency with visualization techniques Ability to translate and simplify complex technical and research findings from data analysis and peer-reviewed publications into simplified, compelling value messages for different healthcare stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience developing interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functional areas Demonstrated success at influencing senior leadership decisions leveraging complex data and research Demonstrated leadership and project management skills in driving innovative process improvements, collaborating with colleagues to effect change without formal authority Ability to work collaboratively as well as advancing initiatives independently in a fast-paced, matrix environment with competing priorities with minimal supervision Preferred qualifications: Successful experience in effectively developing and adapting evidence dissemination strategies within new and rapidly changing organizational environments for market access initiatives Knowledge of cardiovascular conditions, including but not limited to bradycardia, tachycardia, and atrial fibrillation Proven ability to build strong relationships at all levels of an organization and influence business objectives.
