Check out our video on YouTube: Summary- Main tasks include visual and dimensional inspections utilizing inspection and test gages, basic coordinate measuring equipment, laser inspection, inspection of welds, castings, and forgings using nondestructive testing (NDE) including VT, MT, UT, and PT tests. Responsibilities - The employee is responsible to: Perform complex inspection work in accordance with Voith documented procedures and work independently. Use and understanding of basic dimensional inspection hand tools e.g.: micrometers, height gages, calipers, machinist scales, squares, ... Etc. Conduct mechanical inspections using manual precision measuring equipment e.g.: calipers, micrometers, tape measures, thread gages, dial bore gages, ... Etc. Conduct hardness and surface finish tests. Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment. Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT methods ofinspection. Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results. Interpret digital readouts, and visual indicators. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. . May perform inspection(s) for customer witness inspection. Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
