The City of Appleton is currently accepting applications for a vacancy in Public Works. Work involves inspecting meters for damage, make minor repairs to meters and performing custodial functions. Work will also involve collecting money from parking meters and ramp pay machines, maintenance of meters and equipment, cleaning, and snow removal (inside and out) of ramps and lots. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Parking Supervisor. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalency, good mechanical aptitude, and the ability to deal effectively with the public and exercise good judgment. This position typically works 10:00am to 600pm Tuesday Saturday but will require flexibility to work during special events and high parking demand periods.
