Wings Financial Credit Union Lending Training Specialist in Apple Valley, Minnesota

Description PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Lending Training Specialist will train, develop, and coach Retail Delivery employees on lending sales processes, procedures, and lending product specifics by providing them with the tools, skills, and knowledge they need to drive ongoing sales results. Accurately and professionally lead and direct the consistency of the member experience with all Retail Delivery areas for the delivery of lending products and procedures, to include regulatory compliance and fraud prevention techniques for the purpose of achieving premier member service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide new and ongoing lending training, mentoring, and support to Retail Delivery employees to ensure organizational vision and strategy are met. Observe, develop, implement, and coach Retail Delivery employee performance by clearly establishing and communicating lending products, sales, and service quality expectations. Provide on-going and observational feedback focused on individual development strategies. Train retail delivery lenders to actively cross-sell, capture and make qualified referrals for additional loan, deposit and fee income products and services. Partner with Lending and Retail Delivery leadership to develop and implement relevant and proactive training curriculum for the achievement of organizational goals. Utilize existing reports and work with Lending and Retail Delivery leadership to create new ones as needed to monitor and recommend areas of improvement in lending. Work with managers to develop action plans aimed at improving individual, team, and overall sales performance. Continually collaborates with others to identify and recommend strategies to improve upon performance results, member satisfaction, member valued solution-based sales. Design and deliver training sessions on products/services, business practices, fraud awareness, and other topics as needed. Plan and conduct monthly lending roundtables to new and updated procedures, regulations, product knowledge, competitor knowledge and employee recognition. Recognize and recommend training needs in products and procedures to Learning & Development Manager, Lending and Retail Delivery Leadership Teams. Deliver and support of Wings Financials\' sales and service culture. Assist with various lending and enterprise projects as assigned. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: College degree or equivalent work experience as demonstrated by increased levels of accountability and knowledge required and banking experience required. 4+ years of sales and service training experience. Strong understanding of lending products and procedures. Teaching or training experience or a history of creating training materials. Proven sales leadership skills: ability to evaluate individual strengths and weaknesses and utilize coaching and counseling skills. Effectively communicates objectives and goals, following up with regular updates and results. Recognize and analyze problems thoroughly, formulate and implement solutions. A professional demeanor, the willingness to participate as a member of a service oriented, and innovative team while demonstrating an enthusiastic attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills. Desire, ability, and experience in working with and helping other people in a professional setting with a professional business appearance. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment while having the desire to maintain quality of service. Position will require on-site work and travel to various locations, therefore must be flexible and dependable. Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, well organized, accurate and detail oriented. Position requires working knowledge of computer software (i.e. Windows, Microsoft Office). Individual has knowledge of the competition, credit union products, policies, procedures, and of federal rules and regulations. Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence others within a team environ ent. Ability to use coaching skills for one-on-one development of new and existing employees. Required to obtain or possess a Mortgage Loan Originator (\"MLO\") unique qualifier (i.e. registration number). Must have the ability to successfully complete all MLO Registry requirements, including passing background and credit checks and submitting to fingerprinting and to any other requirements of the rules enacted pursuant to the S.A.F.E.
