Mfg. Material Handler – Apopka, FL

Position Summary:

Pentair is currently seeking a Manufacturing Material Handler to handle and delivery material to manufacturing lines. Interested candidates, who meet the requirements below, are encouraged to apply today!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all documented safety rules and practices.

  • Operate various PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) Reach Truck, Stock-Cherry Picker to move material within production and warehouse areas.

  • Reads production tickets, customers order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.

  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins in accordance with PFEP (Plan For Every Part).

  • Deliver materials on a set schedule at a fast pace to meet production needs.

  • Train new team members on all jobs.

  • Perform daily 5S activities.

  • Overtime may be required.

  • Perform any other duty or assignment as may be assigned by the group lead.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma.

  • Minimum 1 year warehouse experience.

  • Forklift, Reach Truck experience required (must be certified to Pentair standards before operating).

  • Basic skills in mathematics and computers.

  • Understanding of inventory transactions and movement through the system.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems for the review of inventory transactions,

  • Data entry experience

Language Skills

Able to communicate effectively in the English language.

Physical Demands

Must be able stand up to 8 hours per day along with bending and lifting. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift over shoulder height. Must be able to communicate effectively with other team members. Appropriate PPE must be worn in the production and warehouse area.

Work Environment

Job is performed indoors. May involve working in areas where noise levels exceed 85 dBa requiring use of hearing protection. May involve limited contact with outside customers and suppliers as needed.
