The team you will be a part of

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

This role in summary

Seamless integration of final manufactured products from Concept through Production Validation that delivers product leadership, Cost or Quality, through balanced product solutions that delight consumers and satisfy the needs of the business and stakeholders. The candidate will interact with the cross functional teams: subsystem engineering, project managers, labs, manufacturing, procurement, quality and suppliers. Team members will be located both domestically and globally.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Manage system integration of projects in Production Development Projects

  • Ensure product development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality & performance targets to support the project plans and project execution

  • Responsible for system level design/cost/quality/time trade-offs and technical decision making for issue resolution within the project/product plan

  • Lead technical design reviews for project to provide an assessment of whether the project is within the architecture/project/product plan guardrails by working with key development team members (e.g. Subsystem teams, V&V Strategist, Project Leader) and by consulting with key architecture development team members when necessary (e.g. Platform System Architect, Subsystem SMEs, V&V Strategist)

  • Responsible to drive full system validation through use of predictive validation methodologies in concept, design and product validation stages

  • Responsible for driving Product Leadership, Cost & Quality, through the Whirlpool Product Development process.

  • Project Delivery (Quality, Cost, Schedule)

Minimum requirements

  • Career in Engineering: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, 2-3 years of experience.

  • Self directed with good analytical skills, good communication skills, inquisitive and willing to learn and acquire new skills (data analytics).

  • MS office (Excel and powerpoint)

  • English advance (read, write and speak )

  • Project management

  • Green belt
