Kuehne+Nagel National Sealogistics LCL Manager in Antwerp, Belgium

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Sea Logistics Load Manager with sea logistics sales experience and strong motivation to hunt for new business and take on an evolving role in Antwerp, Belgium.

Your Role

In this role, you will have full responsibility for the profitable growth of LCL product to and from Antwerp. Liaising with Sales colleagues and Operations management to ensure competitive pricing is provided for realistic client specific opportunities, all quotations are constructed / final Selling rates are given by Operational Management.

Your Responsibilities

  • Liaising with Sales colleagues and Operations management to ensure competitive pricing is provided for realistic client specific opportunities, all quotations are constructed / final Selling rates are given by Operational Management.

  • Ensuring that up to date market information relating to the export trade lanes gets to local Operations Management and Sales team members in a prompt and efficient manner, same should be expected vice versa.

  • Assessing the routing and profitability of both new and existing business to ensure maximized profitability is reached.

  • Working with Country Sales Management to facilitate the generation of new business from

  • New business opportunities via existing company contacts and own contact (only to be pursued in conjunction with the local NC’s).

  • Assisting the preparation for presentations to key customer opportunities as well as RFQ’s.

  • Participating in joint visits and / or presentations to customers.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a similar discipline is a pré

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in the freight forwarding industry, ideally with a focus on sea logistics sales 5 years dedicated to LCL

  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills

  • Fluency in English language is mandatory,

  • Strong commercial skills

  • Strong customer focus and sensitivity towards stakeholder relationship
