The sub department Facilities Operations manages the critical buildings, HVAC, utilities (steam, cooling media, heating fluids, water systems, pressurized air, high voltage, nitrogen,…) and installations (steam generator, cooling cells, air handling units, clean rooms,..) on the sites of Beerse, Geel and Olen; from the central production and distribution to our chemical and pharmaceutical production- and R&D buildings.

For the team responsible for the maintenance and exploitation of the production buildings and utilities in Geel we are currently looking for a Facility Engineer:

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in multi-disciplinary projects on the Geel site executed by E&PS project Delivery or MAM (Make Asset Management). This to ensure safe, qualitative, reliable, and sustainable systems are delivered.

• Guard that from a maintenance perspective the standards and procedures are followed regarding the installations with the necessary eye for maintainability.

• Within the project team act as a knowledge center to continuously improve existing processes / systems from a safety, quality, sustainability, or economic perspective.

• Initiate and support studies for new projects on the Geel in close collaboration with the BPO lead / process engineer.

• Ensure a smooth handover from the initial process study towards the Project delivery department and vice versa.

• You work together with colleagues and our external partners to meet the planned project deadlines and budgets.

• Coaching and sharing your expertise and experiences to junior peers energizes you.

Qualifications

Education :

You have a Bachelor / Master degree or equivalent through experience

(mechanical, electrical, industrial, bio).

Experience and Skills:

• Experience in an industrial environment in an operational function (production, maintenance, process engineering, engineering ...).

• Strong skills in communication and have a result driven personality.

• You are comfortable working in a pressurised environment on a project basis as well as independently in the context of ambitious timelines.

• You take initiative and on top of being an autonomous colleague, you are also a genuine team player who contributes to results and to a pleasant working environment together with his/her colleagues.

• You are innovative and pragmatic.

• You have effective communication skills both written and spoken Dutch and English.

• Knowledge of GxP regulation and/or Chemical manufacturing is a strong asset.
