Anoka County Training Facilitator (Temporary) in Anoka, Minnesota

Position Description The Anoka County Corrections mission is Working to Build a Safer Community. The department has an immediate opening for a Training Facilitator. The Training Facilitator is responsible for planning, organizing and facilitating training programs. This is a temporary, non-exempt, part timeposition. This part time position is based on 5 - 10 hours per week. Interviews will take place the week of April 15, 2024 for those selected to move forward in the hiring process. Pay & Benefits Salary: $33.66 to $40.39 per hour, annual salary calculation pro-rated based on part-time status. 2024 Anoka County Salary Schedule Grade 34. $33.66 to $47.12 per hour, annual salary calculation pro-rated based on part-time status. Advancement/professional development opportunities. Work Location This position will work at the Anoka County Court House, located at 2100 3rd Ave Anoka, MN 55303. Job Duties and Responsibilities These examples are not all inclusive and are intended to be illustrative of primary responsibilities of an Anoka County Training Facilitator. Develop and implement training programs to meet Anoka County's goals. Provide training support for instructors including scheduling class time, registering participants, and providing materials or supplies. Assist with the design of a training program by conducting needs assessments and identifying training resources. Design training materials for instructors including manuals, syllabi, lesson plans, and PowerPoints. Conduct research on topics related to training needs. Determine which training methodologies are most appropriate for various situations and audiences based on knowledge of learning styles and instructional design principles. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and making recommendations for improvements. Calculate and report training costs. Provide transportation of clients to and from group as determined utilizing a county vehicle. Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed High school diploma and at least 2 years of job-related experience. Must have a valid driver's license and successfully pass driver's license and background check. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field. Group facilitation experience. Certified Trainer in Cognitive Restructuring Skills training in Cognitive Skills curriculum(s). Strong verbal and written communication skills Physical Demands and Work Conditions Standard office environment Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, such as to work on computers. Ability to see colors, shades, and brightness Hearing abilities required for general and phone communication, signals, and machine sounds Assignments are sedentary, occasionally alternating between sitting, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling as required to perform job responsibilities. Frequent wrist and finger manipulation to complete computer work Occasional lifting of 10-20 lbs. Equipment used includes computers, phones, and standard office equipment Occasional travel to other county work sites as needed.
