Bureau of Naval Personnel SUPERVISORY EDUCATIONAL SPECIALIST in Annapolis, Maryland

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY EDUCATIONAL SPECIALIST in the ADMISSIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL ACADEMY. Responsibilities You will develop, plan, and execute specialized field recruiting programs and events, such as: major Admissions Information Forums (AIF), USNA Mini-STEM visitation programs, remote Mini-STEM programs. You will maximize the knowledge of all team members in order the increase the level or regional expertise in support of Admissions goals. You will conduct post-event analysis to include preparing methodology for evaluating measures of effectiveness for each activity, data collection and evaluation and post-event presentation to the Dean of Admissions. You will track team performance relative to goals such as: number of application per admissions cycle, number of completed applications, reducing number of underrepresented congressional districts, and ensuring quality and diversity of class. You will serve as primary Admissions representative responsible for building relationships with target schools. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in an academic environment. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing college services to students, parents, and educational professionals; 2) Planning events (i.e., school visits, candidate visits, weekend forums, etc.) focused on fostering relationships in an institution of higher education; and 3) Using assorted computer programs to provide support in a collegiate environment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
