The Manager, US Professional Education will be responsible for leading a team of Area Professional Education Program Managers in the development, planning, and implementation of multi and interdisciplinary educational speaker programs within the cardiovascular space. This position will provide guidance and support for the development of new iterations of Abiomed’ s current speaker burea process. The individual will report directly to the Director, Professional Education

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a team of Area Professional Education Program Managers on the execution of high-impact education programs.

  • Develop and drive clinician education and awareness strategies geared toward systematically eliminating barriers to further adoption of Impella as a treatment option for CAD and HF patients

  • Provide clinical expertise, Develop network of Education Champions, through quarterly trainings on current MCS content and data.

  • Collaborate to refine messaging and develop appropriate slides, materials and collateral for educational purposes

  • Align on US strategy across all indications and assist their team in the field as necessary. Provide feedback and ongoing training

  • Effective and timely management of Professional education SOP’s and other process-related items including impact reports, action plans, expense reporting, Sales Force and other reporting responsibilities

  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, be able to meet tight deadlines, and have ability to cross collaborate and effectively prioritize time with minimal supervision

  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the director

Qualifications

  • Must have BA/BS; Advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience plus >5 or more successful years of outreach or market/business development experience within medical device and/or cardiac pharmaceutical field; prior management experience can replace years of job specific experience

  • Expert understanding of all related aspects of developing and executing therapy awareness and education strategies for advanced treatment therapies

  • Must have experience and contacts in the cardiovascular space with strong clinical and business acumen

  • Demonstrated desire to attain the position

  • Must be able to travel overnight extensively

  • Ability to use PC's and associated software and excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated organization abilities

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $131,000 - $210,450.

Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
