Kaizen Approach, Inc Technical Writer in Annapolis Junction, Maryland
Are you mission focused and ready to be with a company that truly values your contributions? We are currently looking to hire an experienced Technical Writer to assist in the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents to support the unit mission. You will be working closely with content developer Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Instructional Systems Designers (ISD) to clarify complex concepts, ensure accuracy of content, and support the development of sound training solutions that best meet the learning needs of the target audience.
Requirements:
Proven ability to interpret engineering and maintenance drawings, operational procedures, and absorb and synthesize large quantities of computer-related information are important characteristics of the successful candidate within this labor category
Excellent oral and written communication skills in a team environment
Familiarity with technical terminology and software documentation
Proficient at developing realistic time estimates and schedules for drafting and editing documentation and deliverables
Eight (8) years of experience as a Technical Writer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university
Highly Preferred:
Experience supporting the application of technical writing based on drawings, technical information from documentation, consultations with SMEs, and other available sources
Experience testing and providing Quality Assurance methodologies for learning objects and other deliverables
