Belay Technologies Senior Systems Engineer in Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Belay Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer with strong project management skills to provide the engineering and project management for end-to-end data flows in support of the Data Transformation Solutions (DTS) TTO.
Candidates are required to have the following:
TS/SCI Clearance with full polygraph
A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field from an accredited college or university plus fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience. OR
A High School Diploma or GED plus nineteen (19) years of general systems engineering experience (any Process Area).
OR a Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience.
OR a PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience.
Candidates are required to have the following skills:
The successful candidate will:
• Be able to elicit and refine requirements,
• Schedule work breakdown to deliverables,
• Document artifacts, and provide roadmaps and schedules for implementing end-to-end data flows, including transformation into a standard data model.
• Form good customer relationships
• Reach out to external customers for requirements and understanding of the data and the data needs of the users
• Have a good understanding of the customer data flow architecture.
• Work as a key contributor in an agile development environment.
• Have experience with Cyber Security Directorate and related data flows.
Required Skills/Experience:
• Ability to critically think through complex data flow problems, break down effort into manageable tasks, and create/maintain scope out of sometimes vague customer requirements.
• Highly organized and comfortable with customer engagement and managing large scale efforts.
• Good working skills with Atlassian products such as Confluence and Jira
• Good understanding of data flow processes
• Understands system-to-system connections for data flow processes
• Familiar with data formats such as CSV, JSON, PCAP and XML
• Knows why a streaming object transport format is needed
• Have experience with Cyber Security Directorate and related data flows
