Parsons is now hiring an experienced Senior Project Manager with a desire to work on creating innovative, practical solutions to various projects that enhance the fabric of our community. In this role you will be responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms and corporate policies.

We need our Senior Project Managers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team oriented environments that have exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills


  • Provides technical and architectural expertise as part of a team of professionals and technicians working together on an on-site everyday basis supporting an 'owner's agent' construction requirements organization.

  • Reviews plans and documents developed by consultants for the utilization of land and construction of physical facilities for a large multi-building government campus. Ensures all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations are followed, that current techniques are utilized, and that quality is acceptable.

  • Participates in requirements definition, and reviews design documentation to ensure compliance with applicable codes and Facilities Criteria.

  • Conducts and documents site visits. Processes submittals, substitution requests, and RFI's during the design and construction phases.

  • Responsible for the technical excellence of the tasks and analyses performed, regulatory code compliance, and for on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations.

  • Serves as an office-wide resource, technical leader, and a recognized expert in the architectural field of practice.

  • Makes staffing recommendations to the Program Manager as project needs arise.

  • Provides advice and counsel regarding regulatory compliance issues.

  • Develops and presents recommendations based on governmental measures for major projects.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

  • Maintains active membership in appropriate professional organizations and societies.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent

  • LEED AP preferred

  • 20+ years of applicable professional experience working with medium to large projects.

  • Working knowledge and proficiency in application of project and staff management principles.

  • Strong technical and design competence and proven experience in schematic design through construction documents.

  • Expert knowledge of code compliance, and construction practices and methodologies.

  • Proficiency in utilizing PC and various software packages typically used in design and review assignments

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including organizational skills supporting client relationships and activities.

  • Thorough understanding of local statutes and environmental rules and regulations.

  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices.

  • Proven ability for performing in a supervisory capacity on a project.

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
