Description Staff Accountant needed for a non-profit organization in Ann Arbor. As the Staff Accountant you will maintain the general ledger accounts and daily accounting activities in a timely, accurate, and complete manner to result in efficient financial reports and audits with a clean opinion. As well the Staff Accountant performs the overall Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other duties as assigned. This role is fully onsite and permanent opportunity that pays up to $27/hr.

Key duties include:

• Supports/ Performs accounting operations required to maintain the general ledger of all affiliated companies, adhering to US GAAP, company policies, and internal controls requirements.

• Performs bank transactions, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Maintains the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities

• Reviews and processes employee credit card and expense reports, ensures that the expense reporting is efficient and effective, and adheres to company policy.

• Maintains filing and document management for finance and accounting.

• Assist with payroll.

• Various other duties as assigned.

Must meet the following criteria to be considered for this exciting opportunity:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Accounting or a Related Field

• Two years or more accounting experience is preferred.

• Quick Books software experience is preferred.

• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

• Basic knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).

• Intermediate level of knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Knowledge of Uniform Guidance for Federal Awards and grant experience is preferred.
