Who We Are

TheMichigan Neuroscience Institute (https://medicine.umich.edu/dept/michigan-neuroscience-institute) was established in 1955 to bring together investigators from across the University of Michigan campus to probe the mysteries of the brain on a cellular, molecular and behavioral level. The 140 faculty members of the institute as well as their affiliate members seek to understand the function and dysfunction of the human brain.

Responsibilities*

The research and scholarship roles are to conduct studies to determine to what extent morphometric alterations in the cerebrovasculature contribute to cognitive impairments in mouse models of Alzheimer's disease.

The successful candidate will also draft and revise research manuscripts, supervise research staff and manage specific research projects in support of overall laboratory goals. They will be instrumentally involved in the training of research lab students and staff in both technical and conceptual aspects. They will also play a central role in managing collaborative projects and grant proposals.

Required Qualifications*

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.Expertise in the area of confocal imaging is highly preferred.

Background Screening
