Job Summary
The Prevention Research Collaborative, based in the Department of Health Behavior & Health Equity (HBHE) at the University of Michigan School of Public Health seeks a creative and collaborative candidate to support research communications and outreach activities. The Prevention Research Collaborative (PRC) brings together research teams from the CDC-funded Prevention Research Center, Michigan Youth Violence Prevention Center, Healthy Minds Network, Housing, and Health Equity Solutions, and several affiliated federally-funded research initiatives focusing on school and community-based approaches to promoting safe, healthy, and equitable communities. This position will directly support the Prevention Research Collaborative communications and dissemination work and help coordinate the communications activities in the other affiliated projects and Centers. This position will report directly to the managing director of the collaborative, working closely with the center and project managers to coordinate communications activities across the projects.

What You'll Do
Translate public health research findings for multiple audiences, including academic, community, policy, and general public audiences.
Coordinate communication channels, including content, promotion, analytics, and branding.
Support collaborative research development and dissemination by assisting with preparing manuscripts, presentations and reports, data visualization, and other dissemination products.
Work closely with project managers to coordinate communications for affiliated PRC projects and Centers.
Assist with event planning and coordination, including webinars, training sessions, and community events.
Skills You Have
Intermediate Level: Master's degree in public health, social work, information science, communications, or another related field and 4-5 years of experience in a related field.
Associate Level: Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, information science, communications, or another related field and 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
Demonstrated experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or other graphic design software.
Excellent writing skills, with experience translating research findings for practitioner audiences in a variety of modalities.
Experience with creating social media content for professional and community audiences.
Demonstrated interest in applied community-based prevention research, school and mental health, health equity, or related fields.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. *This is a hybrid position. 1-2 days per week of campus work is preferred, and monthly in-person meetings are required.
Underfill Statement
Depending on the selected candidate's qualifications, this position may be underfilled at a lower classification. The salary offered with be commensurate with the position level. Two levels are possible: Intermediate and Associate.
Intermediate Level: $55,000 - $65,000
Associate Level: $50,000 - $54,600
