The Adult Pulmonary Function Testing Lab is seeking a full-time Pulmonary Technologist to perform diagnostic activities with diverse patient populations.

Required Qualifications*

  • Minimum of an Associate?s degree (or a minimum of 62 semester hours of college credit), including at least 3.0 credit hours each in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

  • Minimum of 3 months experience in a healthcare-related field, clinical role.

  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentials as Certified or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT or RPFT) are required within one year of hire.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Bachelor?s degree is preferable with a concentration in human physiology, kinesiology, or exercise physiology.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, regular outpatient clinic hours. No weekends, no holidays.

Work Locations

University Hospital and Taubman Center initially. Possibility of rotating to satellite clinic sites.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
