Manpower, Inc. of SE Michigan Machine Maintenance Technician in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Our client, Chelsea Milling Company (aka "JIFFY mixes") is currently seeking mechanically inclined, team-minded individuals to work as Machine Maintenance Technicians! These are full-time direct hire openings with candidates first completing an onboarding/orientation period through Manpower.

Location:  Chelsea Milling Company in downtown Chelsea, Michigan

Compensation: $32.25 per hour + a $0.30 per hour shift premium

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Set up, maintain, and operate equipment, assuring operation at optimal speed/efficiency
  • Perform predictive and preventative maintenance
  • Perform various tests, adjustments, cleaning, and verification of machines
  • Produce shop orders
  • Ensure appropriate materials/supplies on hand
  • Communicate regularly with other department employees and management

Here's What You Need To Apply:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated relevant work experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with PLC-controlled machinery and HMI programming/settings
  • Ability to complete essential physical functions including, but not limited to: lifting up to 50-80lbs, constant standing, and repetitive motions
  • Ability to follow food and safety guidelines
  • Prior food manufacturing/processing experience is helpful, but not required
  • Train on 1st shift, be open to working any shift
