Working with us, you will: Lead and implement Civil Engineering best practices, collaborating with other discipline leaders in the region, while maintaining a high level of project involvement ensuring that the technical aspects of projects meet quality expectations while complementing the design intent. Serve as a leader of Civil Engineering discipline to ensure the delivery of quality services in a manner that is consistent and efficient, as well as being a primary resource to staff for discipline related standards, tools and processes. Work in a collaborative, integrated environment, teaming with other design professionals to compile data and prepare design solutions. Lead civil engineering designs for urban design, waterfront, site development, or redevelopment of educational, medical, research, commercial and public facilities. Supervise the preparation of civil engineering drawings, details, and specifications for all phases on projects of various sizes including grading and drainage, stormwater management, underground utilities, retaining walls, roads and other site related features. Communicate with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, all government levels of regulatory agencies regarding engineering, permitting and site development issues. Establish and manage project budgets and schedules. Coordinate all aspects of Construction Administration, including managing contractor and client relations during construction for larger and more complex projects. Participate in marketing efforts including proposal development, interview participation and presentations (this includes proposal writing and scope and fee negotiation). Participate in staff development including coaching, mentoring, project staffing assignments and identifying professional development and training opportunities. Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process and provide guidance on strategic hiring.

An ideal candidate has: A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. 15 or more years of design experience working as a Civil Engineer. Professional Engineer (PE) registration required. The ability to manage and maintain relationships to effectively move and motivate people in the desired direction. The ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others to share expertise and/or assist in practice and project delivery. Familiarity in AutoCAD and Civil 3D programs; stormwater modeling experience a plus. Ability to multi-task under rigid deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as these are essentialas isthe ability to work with clients and colleagues at all levels.
