Job Title: CAD Designer

Job Description

CAD Designer will be 100% on site at office in Ann Arbor.

• Generating and modifying design drawings for high power substations. Including but not limited to wiring, schematics, physical arrangements, structural and civil site drawings.

• Working in multiple design software, including AutoCAD and MicroStation.

• Display attention to detail and good organization skills.

• Work closely under the direction of professional engineers and staff.

• Must have good communication skills and be able to work in a team setting.

Required Qualifications:

• 0-3 years of experience

• Proficiency in use of AutoCAD design software

• Associates degree preferred or applicable design experience.

• Knowledge MS Office Suite Software required.

• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with MicroStation/AutoCAD and/or worked with electric utility type drawings a plus.

• Worked with multiple design standards.

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Work Environment

Candidate will be working in a cubicle at the Arbor building. They will go on site visits with an engineer when needed. Environment is very interactive with team building activities that you can choose to participate or not. Office Pot luck is monthly which is optional. Team Meeting daily. Each drafter supports two engineers. They have to be okay with working on a minimum of two projects at a time with a max of three.
