We are recruiting to fill two (2) positions, please see details below regarding courses.

Position Summary: The Automotive Service Instructor position is a full-time faculty position that includes instruction, office hours and professional contributions to the college community to create an innovative and engaging learning environment.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Using each course outline, facilitate student learning, provide effective instruction in both on-campus, online, blended and virtual modalities, and perform evaluations of student learning for the following courses:

Position #1 Lead and/or co-lead faculty for the following courses: Lead ASV 132 Automotive Engines ASV 135 Facility Operations ASV 251 Engine Diagnosis & Repair ASV 258 Engine Drivability

Co-Lead ASV 174: ASV Co-op Education I ASV 274: ASV Co-op Education II

OR Position #2 Lead and/or co-lead faculty for the following courses: Lead ASV 254: Suspension and Steering ASV 255: Brakes ASV 257: Heating and Air Conditioning Systems

Co-Lead ASV 174: ASV Co-op Education I ASV 274: ASV Co-op Education II

In addition to the lead faculty role, the Automotive Services instructor will perform the following duties: • Teach other courses within the Transportation Technologies department. • Support electric vehicle curriculum development and instructional delivery. • Support connected and autonomous vehicle curriculum development and instructional delivery. • Recognize and implement industry safety protocols for high voltage powertrain systems. • Include EV training in the ASE Education Foundation's 20 hours of mandatory technical update training annually. • Be committed to face to face, blended and online teaching and learning which includes following pedagogical standards for quality course development/instruction. • Participate actively in curriculum planning and development, assessment, syllabus writing, development of examinations, development of labs, development of open education resources "OER" (free textbooks) and selection of learning materials, program evaluation and marketing/recruitment. • Provide leadership in identifying trends and working with other faculty to develop new curriculum to address these trends. • Participate in program level learning assessment. Participation includes helping articulate learning outcomes, choosing and administering measures, collecting and submitting relevant data, evaluating student performance, and suggesting changes to improve student learning. • Schedule, sup
