Job Summary

Michigan Dining is comprised of nineteen on-campus cafes and markets, nine residential dining halls, Michigan Bakery, and the Michigan Catering unit. Our 500 professional and 1,200 student employees are committed to creative, healthy, and nutritious foods, international cuisines, and sustainability throughout all dining operations.

You will report to the Director of Systems Management. You will lead Dining through new systems implementations with several integrations. Onsite work in Ann Arbor is required, including evening and weekend work when necessary. Michigan Dining offers flexible work arrangements for staff.

Responsibilities*

  • Manage all efforts related to maintaining current applications and collaboration with SLTS for implementing new technology applications used by Michigan Dining.

  • Consult with operations staff across the Michigan Dining organization to gather system requirements, assess processes, and implement technology solutions in partnership with SLTS that respond to all Dining needs.

  • Oversee the management, integrity, and training modules of all dining applications and the associated data transmission to applications.

  • Oversee the creation and regular review of systems documentation, core business process documentation, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.

  • Be a liaison to internal (student life and campus partners) and external partners (companies that provide applications and supplier partners we order from) for complex technical issues.

  • Collaborate with SLTS, ITS, SLBF, and Procurement, to assist and where needed manage interfaces for Michigan Dining software.

  • Oversee start-to-finish implementation of new systems applications, with both hardware and software solutions.

  • Provide emergency response to systems outages, create proactive plans for continuity of service, and collaborate with SLTS & ITS for quick resolution when issues arise.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, hospitality management, business administration, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years progressive experience in team leadership roles, applications, and administrative management of several integrated systems.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience.

  • Experience with start-to-finish implementation of new systems applications, with both hardware and software solutions.

This role may have reporting obligations under Title IX and Clery.
