Lockheed Martin Site Operations Manager - Andover, MA in Andover, Massachusetts

Description: This position will serve as the Andover Operations Site Lead representing Production Operations within the Energy Line of Business (LOB) staff supporting the Andover Energy Director, specifically working on the launch of the new Grid Star Flow Battery operation. In this role, the employee will support all program areas and associated production operations needs.

Tasks include but not limited to, managing all aspects of the GridStar Flow production facility, supporting proposals, manpower planning, budgeting, capital, manufacturing approaches, Make / Buy decisions, inventory management, facilities implementation, product configuration management, etc. At the LOB Level, this position will attend and participate in the Energy LOB Staff meeting, Support Monthly Energy Program reviews, provide required prod ops EPP and INAR support.

In this new role, this individual will have management responsibility for the on-site manufacturing engineering, environmental safety and health, quality, global supply chain, and production control team members. A critical portion of this role is to provide oversight, guidance, direction and support to the Flow Battery operations team by providing insight into commercial energy practices and helping to establish an Manufacturing Resource Planning system, tool accountability, maintenance of tools, Corrective Action Board, Engineering Change Management and command media processes. Additional responsibilities include: budget planning and management (capital, overhead, and product development investment), proposal and business case support, and Production Readiness Review preparation.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with professional experience as noted below.

Technical management experience and proven budget management experience

Proven schedule development and implementation experience

Demonstrated experience managing a production floor and successfully ramping to full rate production

Basic understanding of manufacturing resource planning and engineering configuration management and control

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage change, identify issues, work with stakeholders

to develop solutions

Demonstrated ability as team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with multiple customers

Management skills (planning, cost / schedule control, delegation, etc.)

Travel required estimated at 25%

Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Ability to make sound technical decisions

Ability to make good decisions with limited data

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering

Experience working in a Commercial Business /

MFC Production Operations Experience / Leadership Program Graduate

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
