This is an opportunity to join the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Mission Area supporting Global Patriot as a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Principal Analyst. In this exciting role you will work closely with the FP&A Manager through the forecasting cycle (prelim and month-end) while also have direct involvement with frequent deliverable requests from management.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a complex & high-profile program area. This role will allow for high visibility during various monthly & quarterly reviews to LADS key team members as well as Regional Program Area & Functional Leadership Teams.

What You Will Do

  • Ensuring accuracy & completeness of key financial metrics.

  • Support the organization through various weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual routines including the following: Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP), Investment Planning, Risk & Opportunity Reviews, Monthly Operation Reviews, Monthly Forecast Reviews, and Balance Sheet Reviews.

  • Analyze large amounts of data from various sources and different contract types and dollar values.

  • Support frequent ad-hoc requests.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related business field or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

  • Experience with APEX, RPlan, or a similar toolset.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience briefing financials to various levels of organization.

  • Program Controls/Financial Analyst experience.

  • Ability to meet critical deadlines while multitasking and managing workload requirements.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with various functions and levels of organization.

  • Thorough attention to detail & ability to analyze complex financial scenarios.

  • Experience with Power BI tools.

  • Experience with large, complex programs.

  • Experience interfacing with various functional disciplines.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
