Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

As an Ownership Enhancement Program (OEP) Lead, you’re a highly effective team member working with our Government Customers, Engineering Product Team Leads, Cross Product Team Leads, and Integrated Product Team Leads to identify, assess and develop projects to reduce Operating and Support (O&S) costs during the Patriot system’s life.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

• Conducting activities to reduce the cost of secondary item acquisition to extend the life and availability of items associated with the Patriot Missile system

• Review design activity improvements that are related to Reliability, Maintainability, and Supportability for Patriot hardware to reduce the overall cost of ownership

• Efforts involving the reduction of failure rates, increase of mean time between required depot maintenance, ensure depot maintenance processes are more efficient and less costly and mitigate obsolescence-related issues affecting cost and availability

Additional Responsibilities will include:

• Analyze opportunities to improve and/or replace individual components, assemblies or modules for presently fielded Patriot Systems

• Research candidates and identify areas for refinement

• Prepare and review submission packages to Patriot Product Line Program Managers and Government customer for potential candidates

• This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon’s Andover, MA facility

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ (five) years of relevant cost account management, program support, planning, project management, finance, supply chain, business operations or a related discipline in a military or civilian environment. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position

• Experience with the Patriot Product Line and associated Major End Items with a general understanding of Life Cycle Engineering

• Experience understanding and reading Technical Data Packages as well as general understanding of Product Data Management (PDM)

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with Project management

• Experience effectively communicating, organizing and investigating skills required

• Experience working independently and to deliver accurate documentation under deadline pressures

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
