Job Description:

TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc., in the Upstate of South Carolina is hiring a Safety Intern – Distribution Center (Spring or Summer 2025).

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety Intern to join our team at a distribution center in the Upstate, SC area. This position offers hands-on experience in safety management, project management, and compliance. The intern will contribute to critical safety projects and gain exposure to a variety of safety practices within a fast-paced work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Training Support:

• Assist in developing and delivering safety training programs.

• Organize and maintain training records and materials.

• Audits and Inspections:

• Conduct safety audits and facility inspections to identify hazards.

• Document findings and recommend corrective actions.

• Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) Observations:

• Perform behavior-based safety observations.

• Analyze data to identify trends and propose improvements.

• Program Organization and Documentation:

• Review and update written safety programs and policies.

• Ensure documents are compliant with OSHA standards and company policies.

• Incident Investigation Support:

• Assist with incident investigations and reporting.

• Help develop preventive measures based on findings.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Health, or a related field.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Previous experience in a safety-related role (preferred but not required).
