Job Announcement
LIBRARY DIRECTOR**
The City of Andalusia is accepting applications for a Library Director at the Andalusia Public Library. Under the administrative direction of the City Administrator, the Library Director is responsible for the operation of the Andalusia Public Library, including budgeting, management of finances, grants, personnel, and facilities. The Library Director is also responsible for resource allocation, collection development, space planning, preservation, implementation of new technologies, and special programs. Under the direction of the Andalusia Public Library Board, the Library Director is responsible for cultivating and expanding the resources of the Andalusia Public Library to best serve the needs of the community.
QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of training and/or experience equivalent to:
- Master of Library Information Science Degree (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited University or hold a Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree with six or more graduate hours toward an MLIS and be actively working toward receiving an MLIS within five years.
- Possess a valid Alabama Driver's License issued by the Alabama Department of Public Safety.
ANNUAL ENTRY SALARY RANGE: Based on Experience.
