Chenega Corporation Central Treasury Lead in Anchorage, Alaska

Summary

  • The Central Treasury Lead will work with the Director of Central Treasury in overseeing and managing the daily operations of the treasury department. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate processing and reconciliation of all financial transactions, including cash management and banking activities. The Central Treasury Lead will provide guidance, training, and support to Central Treasury Technicians to ensure compliance with company policies and requirements. This position will work closely with various departments, including finance, accounting, and operations, to help optimize the company’s financial resources and support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the treasury function and cash management operations to help develop strategies to maximize efficiencies, safeguard assets and minimize costs.

  • Works with Director of Central Treasury to establish and maintain systems and internal controls related to cash management. Monitors daily cash positions in the bank accounts at various financial institutions to ensure optimal cash levels are maintained.

  • Assists Director of Central Treasury with preparing and maintaining the Cash Flow Forecast.

  • Works closely with the various accounting departments, project offices, and subsidiaries to ensure alignment on financial strategies and objectives. Acts as liaison with these groups to fulfill and resolve treasury related requests.

  • Assists with electronic fund transfers and ensures timely resolution of any banking issues.

  • Records cash receipts and disbursements into the computerized accounting system, while maintaining well organized and documented files of banking transactions.

  • Assists Director of Central Treasury with training and oversight to central treasury technicians. Leads by example in maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency in all treasury functions.

  • Works with Director of Central Treasury to support the opening, closing, and maintenance of bank accounts, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

  • Assists Director of Central Treasury with month, quarter, and year end closing procedures.

  • Works with Director of Central Treasury on various projects improving/streamlining and/or automation of the current processes; Recommends and implements the new processes as needed.

  • Act as backup for Director of Central Treasury for various banking matters and daily cash management.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • No Supervisory Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a treasury or finance-related role.

  • Deltek CostPoint accounting software experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of cash management principles, banking operations, and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in treasury management systems and accounting software.

  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to oversee and assist team members.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Estimated Salary/Wage

USD $56,000.00/Yr. Up to USD $100,000.00/Yr.
