Your Role:
T BAILEY, INC is seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering/Detailing Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the engineering and detailing functions, with a particular focus on plate work detailing, to ensure the successful execution of projects from inception through completion. Your leadership and vision will be crucial in maintaining our high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety, and in driving the department to the next level of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the engineering and detailing team, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
Oversee the preparation of detailed shop drawings and project plans, with a strong emphasis on plate work detailing.
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
Bring vision to the department by evaluating current practices and introducing innovative strategies to elevate performance.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, construction management or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in detailing/checking with a strong emphasis on plate work detailing.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Inventor or similar detailing software.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
