Role Overview:

As a Total Rewards Specialist at AniCura, you will be instrumental in optimizing and managing our total rewards programs. You will provide expert support to P&O associates, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and drive key rewards projects. This role requires you to be a key player in enhancing compensation and benefits structures across our international organization.

  • Job Title: Senior Total Rewards Project Manager

  • Department: People and Organization

  • Reports To: MVH (Mars Veterinary Health) International Total Rewards Lead and dotted line to Chief People Officer, AniCura

  • Location: Netherlands / Germany [Hybrid working]

  • Direct reports: Project Manager (LES)

  • Languages : Proficiency in English and any other European language is a plus.

  • Contract: Full Time

  • Employment Visa: Preference for Candidates with a Valid Work Permit

    Key Responsibilities:

    Drive transformational Total Reward projects holistically for AniCura (Execution & Delivery Expert):

    Cyclical process (Merit, AVP) – Implementation (incl. system) & Continuous Improvement:

  • Assess the current state and determine how and when transitions can be made.

  • Collaborate with the Talent team on the PDP process, ensuring alignment with merit-based systems.

  • Enhance the user experience for associates and line managers, including system improvement.

    As-is mapping project – Lead Data Collection (Terms & Conditions (T&Cs), Collective Labor Agreements (CLAs), and Benefit Contracts).Ensuring MVHI TR have data to work with local teams on transition plans:

  • Gather detailed data on each associate's current pay and benefits (T&Cs) to ensure compliance with the new EU pay transparency directive.

  • Identify the relevant CLAs and establish how to engage with unions and works councils moving forward, including formal processes.

  • Ensure visibility of all current benefit contracts, including clinics’ renewal plans.

    AniCura P&O WD Champion:

  • Collaborate with local P&O teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of people data in Workday (WD).

  • Manage necessary Workday enhancements to support future system-driven Total Rewards processes, such as AVP, merit, and job profiles.

    Training/Upskilling Local P&O Teams on Total Rewards (In Partnership with MVH Int’l TR Team):

  • Take responsibility for overseeing Total Rewards governance within AniCura, leading internal alignment and approval processes (AVP, GBCT).

  • Lead change management efforts for signature processes, such as job and pay frameworks and merit systems.

  • Upskill local P&O teams on new global processes, including mobility and car schemes.

    Line Management of LES P&O Project Manager:

  • Ensure timely submission of project deliverables.

  • Provide oversight on Total Rewards-related challenges and barriers.

  • Ensure proper governance is followed for all TR-related changes.

    M&A P&O Activities:

  • Manage the data collection process during due diligence for all P&O-related information.

  • Track local progress against the M&A blueprint to ensure alignment.

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards management, preferably within a multinational organization.

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing comprehensive total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, and recognition initiatives.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct data analysis, benchmarking, and financial modelling to inform decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Proven leadership experience, including the ability to lead non direct reporting cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to successful completion.

  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and market trends related to compensation and benefits.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
