Philips Operational Effectiveness Leader Enterprise Informatics in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Your challenge

As the Director of Operational Effectiveness for the Enterprise Informatics Business, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing operational performance, generating top and bottom-line impact, and ensuring the overall efficiency of the business. This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to drive impactful interventions.

Your role:

Strategic Assessment:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of business operations to identify critical improvement areas.

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand strategic priorities and business goals.

  • Analyze processes and systems to uncover opportunities for enhancement and efficiency gains.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with Business Unit Leaders, Senior Executives, and key stakeholders to gather insights and perspectives.

  • Build strong relationships across departments to foster collaboration and support for operational improvement initiatives.

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to gain alignment on priorities.

Problem Definition and Solution Design:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop a detailed Problem Statement, Root Cause Analysis, and Solution Design.

  • Draft a PRFAQ (Press Release, Frequently Asked Questions) document outlining the proposed intervention and its expected impact.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the PRFAQ aligns with business objectives and addresses critical needs.

Execution Oversight:

  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to monitor the progress of initiatives.

  • Address any roadblocks or issues that may arise during the execution phase.

  • Ensure that the initiatives align with the initially defined objectives and key performance indicators.

Performance Measurement:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of implemented initiatives.

  • Regularly assess and report on the performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed.

  • Provide updates to senior leadership on the overall effectiveness of operational improvements.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in a similar operational effectiveness role, preferably at a Director level including understanding of Software Operating Models

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve complex business problems including strong financial acumen

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

  • Project management experience and familiarity with program execution processes.

  • Ability to navigate and lead in a complex and dynamic business environment.
