Barilla New Business Development Senior Manager in Amsterdam, Netherlands

The role will contribute to assess, develop and testing new business growth opportunities consistently with the priorities of the Blue Moon 10-years strategy, providing support to different Units of the company, depending on the requirements of each individual project and growth opportunity.

The individual will report to the New Business Development Vice President and will be based in Amsterdam.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the development of existing businesses consolidation and optimization initiatives, partnering with categories, regions and other company’s functions.

  • Manage business development projects into new channels, geographies and categories, which require a different business approach, including partnerships and joint ventures, proposing new business horizons & opportunities and designing an effective value creation plan.

  • Manage the development of new business initiatives, with cross-functional teams and external partners, that requires relevant innovation processes and agile business culture, interacting and working in close collaboration with key players of Barilla Group.

  • Contribute to M&A due diligence and post integration, ensuring the effective development of the new sources of revenue to generate the expected competitive advantage for Barilla group.

  • Contribute to the definition of New Platforms strategy in collaboration with global categories strategy & long-term business vision.

  • Fuel company’s external orientation and exposure to insights in new areas of consumers needs and market growth, building new capabilities for the company.

  • Ensure the right sharing of experience, learnings and best practices across all those different units/projects or operations, with the objective of maximizing the knowledge developed outside the Company’s core business

    Key Requirements

  • Degree in business management/administration; MBA will be considered a plus

  • 10+ years of progressive experience either in Marketing / Business Development within a CPG company or as a consultant in a consultancy firm.

  • Proven ability to manage new business development projects with solid business acumen, entrepreneurial mindset and cross-functional approach.

  • Excellent project management skills. Ability to frame and manage complex and multiple tasks with a “can do” attitude and strive for excellence.

  • Strong team player, able to effectively collaborate within cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to build strong and trustful relationships and effective communication with stakeholders at any level.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to understand data and propose actionable insights.

  • Autonomy and comfort with ambiguity

  • International mindset, ability to work in a global environment and with virtual teams.

  • Ability to travel up to 30% internationally.

  • Fluency in English.
