Our luxury hotel, located across from Leidseplein's fine dining, shopping and entertainment, is a 5-minute walk to many attractions including the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. Our 396 spacious guest rooms have everything you need for business or leisure travel and upscale and casual dining awaits you in our two restaurants where you can grab a burger and beer or Amsterdam's finest steak in town. Our 12 meeting rooms are equipped with the newest technology; we welcome you to our 'Meetings Imagined'.

What are my responsibilities?

  • You are responsible for the full Training & Development

  • You create a monthly training plan

  • You coordinate the mandatory training such as emergency response, fire safety training & welcome days

  • You ensure that everyone completes all Marriott training courses on time

  • You are the general point of contact for L&D related questions

  • You maintain good contacts with all managers so that you can determine training needs and fulfill them

In addition, we think it is very important that you enjoy your work and that you can continue to challenge yourself. We will work with you to identify projects and HR passions to get the best out of you, the team and the hotel.

To be considered for this position:

  • You have a relevant (Hospitality or HR) Bachelor degree

  • You have experience in Learning & Development

  • You have experience in hospitality

  • You have experience in providing and developing training

  • You have strong organization skills

  • You work well under pressure and are organizationally strong at the same time

  • You are ambitious and do you have a positive attitude

  • You speak and write English fluently
