Philips Internship: Risk Management Markets in Amsterdam, Netherlands


Starting date : ASAP

Duration : at least 6 months

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Contribute to the design and implementation of Risk Management framework for Philips leading to the right balance of risk vs. reward for our solutions and long-term strategic partnerships.

You are responsible for

You will be a key contributor within the Risk Management Markets team, supporting on the pro-active identification, prioritization and mitigating of risks (strategic, operational, financial and compliance) related to solutions and long-term strategic partnerships. Your main responsibilities will include:

Business & Data Analytics:

  • Support to build, maintain, and drive continuous improvement of various risk management tools e.g. performance dashboards, country risk intelligence tool, etc.

  • Support in further automation and standardization of our Risk Management Framework

  • Support in maintaining the risk management databases and assist in data analysis resulting from the risk management activities

  • Improving KPIs and reporting through dashboards using the lean methodology

Project Management & Communication:

  • Support in the preparation for critical meetings as well the collection and report out of actions resulting from various Risk related meetings

  • Support with conceptualization and/ or revision of various presentation materials prepared by the RMM team

  • Regularly update and manage the content of structured information platforms and communication materials for Risk Management Markets

  • Maintain SharePoint, intranet, and Microsoft Teams environment for Risk Management

You are a part of

The Risk Management Markets (RMM) team), which act as a trusted business partner for Markets, Businesses and Functions in their decision making to support Philips in building a sustainable long-term strategic partnerships portfolio.

You will report to a Senior Risk Manager within the RMM team located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying for a business (Master) university degree (e.g. Business Administration, International Management, Finance, or Marketing/ Communication), Engineering degree or any related fields.

  • Very strong English communication skills (reading and writing).

  • High proficiency in using Excel and PowerPoint (VBA, Analytics or BI tool experience would be a plus).

  • Strong data analytic skills and reporting skills.

  • Project Management experience is a plus

  • Display a high level of integrity, stress resistance, flexibility and creativity

  • Self-starter, outgoing and positive personality with excellent interpersonal skills;
