Philips Emergency Care Pro Leader Europe in Amsterdam, Netherlands

In Europe we are currently building our regional team that will take the Emergency Care business into the future. We are looking for a forward-thinking business category leader for Emergency Care Professional (Pro) for the Europe Region, reporting directly to Head of Emergency Care Europe. In this pivotal role you with will drive and execute strong plans to inspire our customers and partners in the Emergency Medical Services and Hospital segments with the best Philips has to offer, making the difference for them and providing their patients with life-saving technology, whilst driving to strong business growth.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with external and internal stakeholders across the European geography as well as the global Philips teams, owning the Category business performance in Europe whilst deploying your customer-centric and commercial acumen to build for short- and long-term success.

This position can be based at any main Philips hub location in the Europe region.Travel requirement, mostly within Europe is estimated at 20-30% of time.

Your role:

  • Managing the EC Pro Category performance, through performance management of the assigned portfolio of products, solutions & services.

  • Leading the Business planning process for the category, coordinating with product management, marketing, sales, supply chain and quality to achieve ambition.

  • Designing and driving strategic improvements in Go-To-Market and Business Models, Channel Design and Development.

  • You manage, activate, coordinate, monitor and implement business plans and strategies by being the main point of contact to the zone organizations.

  • You own, create, improve and realize the Annual Operating Plan for the category:

  • Responsible for key financial and enabler metrics of the EC Pro plans in the year and growing the top and bottom line with strategic ambition.

  • Deliver business performance according to KPIs such as Funnel Health, Order Intake, Sales, Market Share and Integral Gross Margin (IGM).

  • Partner with key stakeholders to forecast and lead ongoing performance management against plan with the zones.

  • Own identification of opportunities and resolve shortfalls vs. plan, acting with speed and agility.

  • Be the escalation point and advocate with Business for the European region and vice versa to enable smooth delivery against plan.

  • You manage the marketing mix, incl. pricing strategy for the European geography incl. ensuring Price performance management (in collaboration with Commercial Policy Team)

  • You are responsible for identifying competitive moves in collaboration with the zone teams, supported by Insights and Analytics. You develop response and attack plans in collaboration with Category and Product Management.

  • You channel market needs back into the global Business Category Unit to build global roadmaps that balance local relevance with global efficiency. Represent Voice of the Customer to assure that Region’s Innovation needs are included in the overall Business strategy.

  • You drive strong collaboration with the Business Category and Product Managers through feedback into the value proposition creation and development of products, solutions, and services, to maximize the commercial success of the offering over the full lifecycle and co-creation with strategic customers.

  • You own downstream activities linked to New Product Introductions and manage the EC Pro portfolio over its lifetime.

  • Improve the harmonization across Europe, drive competency and empower the Marketing & Sales teams by educating, sharing best practices, establishing consistent ways of working, and enforce metric driven accountability.

  • Contribute to long-term strategic projects and solutions offerings.

  • Support strategic customer deals in responsible markets.

  • Provide inputs to the S&OP process as needed.

You're the right fit if:

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare, Business or Engineering discipline.

  • 10+ years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, Downstream Marketing, Product Management or related field in the health industry.

  • Experience in Emergency care / EMS is preferred.

  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial Business Management, incl. P&L responsibility

  • Solid experience working with indirect channel partners.

  • Proven track record in developing and implementing business and project plans in relevant industries working with the full marketing mix and various distribution business models and channels.

  • Proven track record in successfully driving the performance and engagement of people, teams and stakeholders while developing talent capability.

  • Experienced in working effectively in a complex collaborative, matrix environment with virtual teams in a multi-cultural and geographically diverse environment.

  • Thorough understanding of the global and local marketing and sales processes, and Value proposition creation and articulation.

  • Strong personal communication and influencing skills, be able to inspire, convince and mobilize people.

  • Ability to assess creative ideas on potential value creation.
