In Consumer Beauty, we are driving the turnaround and value creation of our most Iconic brands under the leadership of our CEO Sue Y. Nabi. This transformation effort includes re-centering our innovation & communication program on strong consumer centricity, driving advocacy and influencer marketing programs and leveraging emergent needs and trends to drive Brand value creation. Covergirl, Sally Hansen, adidas, Bruno Banani, Vera Wang Fragrances, David Beckham Fragrances, Nautica, Rimmel, Max Factor and Bourjois are some of our iconic brands going through our transformation journey and will be pivotal to fuel growth in years to come. The role will be located in Coty Amsterdam headquarter, alongside our cross functions and other global teams.
THE ROLE
As Global Director for Scenting , you will have the opportunity tounleash the full potential of the category across an agile process as well as defining and unlocking the gifting strategy for Consumer Beauty scenting globally. The portfolio spans all scenting categories (EDP/EDT/Mists/etc) as well as multiple global and regional clusters.
Together with your team, you will be responsible for the development and execution of scenting innovation program and gifting, from ideation to global market launches, identifying opportunities that drive our category growth, setting the goals and priorities for the innovation, and developing the go to market toolkits.
Lead strategic global innovation plan that is agile and fast paced in partnership with cross-functional teams,.
Co-create with our Olfactive studio and R&D partners to identify and develop innovative offerings that are rooted in consumer and cultural insights as well as emerging needs and fragrance trends.
Embed emerging trends and technologies. Partner closely with creative, communication and digital/social teams to embed emerging consumer trends and behaviors. Stay current and forward thinking to enable implementation of disruptive products and radically new propositions in partnership with R&D and external suppliers across packaging, olfactive design and formulations.
You bring category expertise, visionary thinking to the role, agility and the ability to positively challenge the status quo and blend creative with analytical skills.
Your key areas of responsibility will be the following:
Agile Fragrance:
Set the strategy, process and lead the execution of launch program in partnership with design markets and cross functions
Lead strategic global innovation plans for a selection of brands including new product innovations, co-creation with olfactive studio, packaging design, partition & pricing strategy
Identify growth opportunities, ideate new and out-of-the-box ideas and concepts and drive speed-to-market
Drive long-term vision for the brands / collections, establishing clear priorities and focus areas
Determine the go-to-market strategies and business models in close collaboration with commercial team and design markets to support agile and timely geographic expansions where relevant
Gifting Fragrance:
Interpret trend analysis and competitive landscape to inform strategy and identify new opportunities
Lead and deliver Gifting strategy for the entire CB Scenting portfolio to fuel CB Category growth strategy including optimization & maximization of giftsets portfolio, driving giftability of regular fragrances, enhancing KCP communication & everyday gifting across all touch points.
Drive Xmas yearly giftsets development for EU & US brands, balancing innovation, value analysis & sustainability considerations.
Develop and deliver all year round KCP toolkits for multibrand, maximizing appeal & giftability of our brands to drive impulse buying
Drive new global initiatives in close partnership with local markets including merchandising activations & channel expansions
Team management
Manage a team including coaching, guidance and development plans for each individual
Provide strategic guidance and support to senior leadership in brand planning, business review and decision-making processes

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

You are passionate about fragrances and beauty, possess strong creative skills and commercial knowledge, enjoy building relationships between all cross-functional teams & markets and thrive in an energetic, fast-paced, diverse, and international environment. Other than that, you:
Have 8+ years of international brand and product management with experience in a fast-paced environment (beauty/CPG experience strongly preferred)
Passionate about the world of fragrances with 3+ years within Fragrance and a passion for olfactive storytelling.
Are a strategic thinker with strong innovation, business and project management skills
Have a creative mindset with a strong eye for design, detail and storytelling.
Have a passion for building new projects/brands from scratch, with an entrepreneur mindset. You are not scared of stepping out of your comfort zone to deliver exciting new products or solutions to consumers, you are result-oriented and constantly demonstrate a can-do attitude.
Demonstrate ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence at all levels to drive positive change and agility.
Local marketing experience is a plus.
3+ years demonstrated people leadership and proven track record of coaching & developing.
